Taylor Wimpey Challenge 2017

YAT Comms logo

Thursday 18 - Sunday 21 May 2017 in the Lake District

Last year we 'went for gold' and bravely beat 3 of the UK's mightiest mountains so this year we have decided to 'up the ante'.

Can your team take on 24 Peaks in 24 Hours? Or would you prefer to take on the Tizzie Wizzies in a team challenge that culminates in a 14 Peak Challenge? Will your team rise above the rest in the Taylor Wimpey Challenge 2017?

Once again, we have two challenges available for teams to choose from: the 24 Peaks Challenge and the Tizzie Wizzie Challenge. Each Business Unit can enter 2 teams of 4 - 6 people plus a support driver. Both challenges, based in the Lake District will test your team work, perseverance and your personal limits. They will also give you an amazing opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the country, enjoy a fantastic weekend with colleagues and raise money for some of your favourite charities.

Dates:

  • 24 Peaks Challenge: 18th - 21st May
  • Tizzie Wizzie Challenge: 19th - 21st May

The 24 Peaks Challenge:

Not for the faint-hearted! Teams will take on 24 of the Lake District's finest in 24 hours - a true test of tenacity, team work and walking boot treads.

The Tizzie Wizzie Challenge:

The Tizzie Wizzie is a mini-monster that is said to live around the shores of Lake Windermere. They are strange and shy creatures that have the body of a hedgehog, the tail of a squirrel and the wings of a bee!

  • The Tizzie Wizzie Challenge begins with a Lakes special 'It's a knockout' competition, including zorb football, segway racing and monster volleyball

  • Support drivers will need to collect teams from the finish point and drive them on to the evening celebrations (they can not join the walk)

Teams:

  • Each Business Unit can enter 2 teams
