Introducing Daniel Macaulay, our new Ambassador

Exciting news – Daniel Macaulay is joining our team as a volunteer Youth Adventure Trust Ambassador.

Daniel has been a long-standing supporter and committed friend of the charity, helping us to develop Hike Bike Paddle, THE sports and outdoor industry challenge. We are delighted to officially recognise his commitment to ‘inspiring young lives’. His ethos and belief in the power of adventure to transform lives and improve well-being are completely aligned with our values at the Youth Adventure Trust.

Daniel has spent a lifetime coaching and competing in a broad variety of water sports, so it is no surprise that he is such a passionate believer in the power of sport as a catalyst for positive change on multiple levels. Daniel founded Brandwave Marketing – one of the world’s leading sports marketing consultancies and the chosen agency of many of the sports industry’s leading brands including Adidas, BMW, Scott, The North Face, Les Mills, INEOS, Wiggle, and Salomon. He is also a respected speaker in the global sports and marketing industries with keynote talks at Web Summit, Amazon, EuroBike, ISPO, and The European Outdoor Group Summit.

Daniel is an ambassador of The Blue Earth Summit and a Non Exec Director of Visit Chichester / The Great Sussex Way. He sits on the UK Sport & Outdoor Forum think tank and is a mentor to fit-tech start-ups as part of Brand LAB and UKActive’s ActiveLab program. He is also part of the international judging panel for the annual UK Active and Endorphin Sports Film Awards.

Sport and the outdoors as a catalyst for positive change is something that I believe in deeply. I think it works on many levels – physically, mentally, and societally. Nobody manifests this better than the Youth Adventure Trust and the great work that they do helping young people build resilience and confidence. I am extremely honoured to become an ambassador of this incredible charity.
