• Challenge Overview

On Saturday 22nd June 2024, you will be taking on the Higos Hike! You will have signed up for either the 10km route or the Half Marathon Route.  Cheddar Gorge will provide a stunning backdrop for the challenge and although we can’t promise sunshine, we can promise glorious scenery and a rewarding experience in an iconic part of the world that we are sure you will enjoy. The challenge is no walk in the park (!) and you will need to be prepared.

When it’s over you will have a huge sense of achievement, both in knowing you have succeeded in completing the challenge but also that you will have raised funds for the Youth Adventure Trust’s work with vulnerable young people.

Maps are available on our website and we will provide you with one at the event registration

Is there a minimum age for who can take part?

There is no minimum age for taking part, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Once you have registered for the event, we will give you access to our participant dashboard where you can find the kit list for the challenge.

    Are toilets available?

There are toilets available for you to use at the start line in the village hall. If you need the toilet when you are out on the route you will need to find an appropriate area off the trail.

How fit do I need to be?

Our challenges are no walk in the park and we recommend training before hand! We will be here to support you throughout your training journey so that you feel fully prepared for the challenge.

Do I have to fundraise to take part in this event?

When you register, your fundraising page will automatically be set up for you.  There is a guideline of £50 fundraising target for the 10k route and £100 for the half marathon route.  These funds make a huge difference to the lives of the local vulnerable young people that live and go to school near Higos offices
