Conquer one of our three fantastic routes tailored to walkers, joggers and runners (oh and dogs!). Join a vibrant community of participants for an unforgettable day in the rolling hills of Wiltshire. All ages are welcome!

The 10km Route
Ideal For:
Anyone seeking a beautiful and scenic day out on the hills. A good route for families with younger children, as well as anyone wanting to take on a 10km trail run.
The Experience:
A scenic circular route that takes on Wiltshire’s 3 most iconic hills – Giant’s Grave, Martinsell and Huish Hill. After the hills, you’ll return back to Oare via Huish.
Entry Fee Options:
Self-Funded– £50 entry fee
Fundraising– £12.50 entry fee with a £75 fundraising target (could fund an activity at our overnight expedition)

The Half Marathon Route
Ideal For:
Walkers and runners looking to challenge themselves to a slightly longer route. A beautiful route for any trail runners wanting to take on a scenic half marathon.
The Experience:
A wonderful figure of 8 loop taking on the same route as the 10km route before heading off along the Wansdyke Path and cutting south to reach Milk Hill. You’ll follow Tan Hill Way until you reach Gopher Wood. Here you will re-join the 10km route, returning back to Oare via Huish.

Self-Funded– £100 entry fee
Fundraising– £25 entry fee with £150 fundraising target (could fund one young person’s place on a pathway day)

The Marathon Route
Ideal For:
Experienced walkers or runners ready to take on an epic marathon distance and test their resilience. The only trail marathon in the local area!

Fundraising– £35 entry fee with £300 fundraising target (could fund one young person’s place on Coastal Camp)

The Youth Adventure Trust team is here for you throughout your Wiltshire 3 Peaks journey. Whether its advice on training, fundraising or equipment please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Once registered you’ll have access to our helpful training and fundraising resources, but we are also just a phone call or email away if you want to talk anything through.

We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to cancel your entry. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- If you cancel more than 12 weeks in advance of the event, you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel between 12 and 6 weeks in advance of the event, you will receive a 50% refund.
- If you cancel within 6 weeks of the event, no refund will be given.
Please note that all cancellations must be made in writing and sent to philippa@youthadventuretrust.org.uk Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving your cancellation request. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your understanding.
FAQs
General Event Questions
Your entry fee includes a fully supported route, water stations, a professionally printed map, first aid cover, support at challenge base, a finisher’s medal and post challenge refreshments and cake.
You will need to navigate yourself although we will provide you with a GPX file for you to download before the event. We will also provide a printed route map on the day of the challenge.
Yes, parking is available locally.
The Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge is not a competitive race. However, the event is timed to track your personal achievement and help us manage safety. You can walk or run the route at your own pace.
There is no minimum age for taking part, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Once you have registered for the event, we will give you access to our participant dashboard where you can find the kit list for the challenge.
Fundraising Questions
The Fundraising Entry option has a lower upfront cost but requires you to commit to raising a minimum sponsorship target. The Self-Funded Entry has a higher fee but has no fundraising obligation.
Every kilometre you conquer directly supports our work, funding essential outdoor adventure activities such as camps on our Adventure Programme, providing young people with the life-changing experience they need to build confidence and resilience.
