Keen walkers and runners alike can join Action Challenge for their overseas Ultra Adventures. Choose from one of 4 excellent events in iconic locations, and test yourself with 2 marathons distances over 2 days. You walk it, you can run it, or a little of both.

Whether it’s the wilderness of Iceland, the hot sands of the Sahara Desert, the epic expanse of Jordan’s Wadi Rum or the heights of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains – there’s an Ultra Adventure for you.

They’ve been delivering trekking challenges for over 25 years, and have developed excellent relationships with local teams to deliver exceptional support and a memorable experience. The camaraderie & hospitality make it an unforgettable adventure.

Join on your own, or with a few friends, and then meet up with Action Challenge’s crew and a group of 40 – 100 like-minded adventurers to explore some amazing scenery and culture up close. Take on the Ultra Adventure your way – walk, jog or run – with full support every step of the way.

Registration details

You have two options – either apply for a charity mixed funding place and commit to a fundraising target for Youth Adventure Trust, or, purchase your own place and we’ll support you to raise as much as you can without being committed to a set target.

Option 1: Mixed Funding For Charity

Choose from 4 mixed funding options, where you pay some of the event place cost yourself and then fundraise, and we pay the balance.

Option 2: Self Funded

Pay for your place in full and fundraise whatever you can; we pay a small admin fee.

Three easy steps

Follow these three steps to join TeamYAT and inspire young lives!

1. Tell us you want to take on an Overseas Challenge

2. Find out more and book your charity sponsored, mixed funding or own place with Action Challenge

3. Set up your fundraising page

Every day, our Programme Managers are working with vulnerable young people to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills they can use to face the challenge in their lives. Each place on the Youth Adventure Programme costs £1,300 a year, so every penny you raise will really empower young people to lead positive lives and fulfil their potential.

We’ll support you

Once you sign up to join TeamYAT, we’ll be here to support you throughout all the training for your challenge, and after the big day, to help you reach your personal and fundraising goals.

You’ll receive:

Fundraising advice from a team who knows what it’s like to step out of your comfort zone
fundraising pack filled with top tips and ideas
Regular updates on how your fundraising makes a difference
